Apartment, Pagrati

The study concerns the renovation of a 50sqm apartment on the top floor of a typical 1970s Athenian apartment building in Pagrati.

The main concern of the Architectural Design was to ensure the maximum possible exploitation of the space and that all the daily activities of the owners coexist harmoniously due to the limited space of the apartment.

By removing all the walls, a single, airy space with plenty of natural light was created, which includes all the functional units of a residence. A mixed construction of wooden and metal elements with crystals separates the living room from the bedroom area.

A central island was placed between the perimeter cabinets of the kitchen and the living room as a key element for daily dining.

Wooden oak floors were chosen as the single flooring material, while wooden cladding in white lacquer and natural oak dominates everywhere in order to maintain a homogeneity and a refined way of modern living.
