Residential Roof, Glyfada

The study concerns the redesign of the attic of a three-story residence in order to serve the functional needs of a family member.

The residence is located in Glyfada, on a hill with an excellent view of the Saronic Gulf.

The primary design concern was the clear separation of functions and needs of the bedroom from the living room, which the user wants to use as a personal office space and a space for relaxation and entertainment.

Particular emphasis was placed on the visual and acoustic isolation of the roof from the other floors by forming a library around the internal open staircase leading to the roof.

Wooden cladding dominates both spaces, either with natural oak or white lacquer cladding.

The palette is finally complemented by the white marble slab with gray veins on the worktop that runs the entire length of one side of the living room.
