Three-story luxury residential building, Vrilissia

The Architectural Study concerns the design of a three-story residential building with a loft and basement in a quiet area in Vrilissia, on the slope of Penteli.

The building is developed on three levels above the main floor and includes two bright apartments per floor of 120m2 each.

The main goal of the design was to highlight the view from the apartments towards the city’s urban landscape and the sea. The layout of the spaces in each apartment was oriented towards the formation of a single living room, dining room and kitchen area with a clear orientation towards the view, two bathrooms and 3 bedrooms located on the side and north side of the building.

The building follows all modern architectural trends and was designed in a way that it integrates harmoniously into the surrounding area, taking advantage of the orientation and natural lighting and ventilation in all areas. Particularly large openings unify the interior with the exterior, offering ample natural lighting and unobstructed views.

Architectural elements on the building’s facades alternate between voids and solids, solids with linear planters and transparent glazing, harmoniously grouping the building’s volumes, while moving vertical blinds function as an element that filters natural lighting and helps shade the balconies, while through their movement the building’s facade is constantly reshaped.

The main synthetic principle of the study was the creation of a high-standard building with energy efficiency A, contributing to energy savings and ensuring immediate return through the functions of the building’s users.
